FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL INFORMATION!
Hello Judkins Students and Families!
We are excited to see you on the first day of school: THURSDAY, AUGUST 13TH!
School starts at 8:00. The tardy bell rings at 8:05!
SCHEDULES:
7th Graders - Bring your paper schedules that you got at Orientation.
8th Graders (or 7th graders who could not attend Orientation) - Schedules will be available at 7:30 am in the MPR on the first day of school. You must have a paper schedule issued from the school to start class.
DROP OFF/PICK UP:
Because of the traffic on the first day of school, we advise you to carpool and/or come early (aim to arrive at 7:30)!
School gets out at 2:20. Traffic at the end of the day can be hectic as well. If picking up your child, consider meeting your student nearby off campus if that is something you are comfortable with.
MOST IMPORTANT! IF YOU PICK UP/DROP OFF YOUR STUDENT FROM SCHOOL, DO NOT STOP TO LOAD/UNLOAD YOUR STUDENT INTO THE CAR if there is room for you to pull up further. IF PICKING UP, please have your student walk forward until there is no space in front of your car, then load them quickly into the car. NEVER load/unload your student on the inside lane, you must load/unload them from the curb. The driver should NEVER get out of the car while in the pull through lane. If the driver needs to get out of the car, park in the parking lot.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES:
Do not over-purchase for school supplies. Some paper, pencils, pens, and a CHARGED Chromebook (supplied by the school) are sufficient for the first days. Once your student meets their teachers, they can see what else they might need.
DRESS CODE:
Judkins will be adhering to the LMUSD Board Policy Dress Code. Please familiarize yourself with the Dress Code Policy and dress appropriately for school because Judkins is an institution of learning.
