Special Education

The Special Education curriculum at Judkins Middle School offers students with learning disabilities a diversity of programs within the academic framework. The Special Education curriculum includes classes in SDC language (READ 180/System 44), SDC math, study skills, SDC Writing, SDC Science, SDC Life Skills, and SDC Social Studies concepts. We also support special education students in mainstreamed courses. The goals of the Special Education programs are to offer each student the greatest opportunity to be successful within the least restrictive educational setting, to work collaboratively with mainstream classroom teachers, and to provide information and support to Judkins' staff, students and parents in order to enhance success for program students.
