School Policies/Student Handbook

Cell Phones: Cell phones have become a major distraction and interference in the teaching and learning process.  Please remind your child to turn off his/her cell phone when he/she arrives at school.  All cell phones must be powered off (not on silent or vibrate) from 7:30 am to 2:20 p.m. unless used to contribute to instruction with permission from the teacher.  All phones confiscated during the school day may be searched.

·         The first time a student is caught violating the policy, the phone will be confiscated.  The parent will be notified and the phone held until the parent can pick it up in the office.

·         The second incident will result in the same procedure plus 5 days lunch detention.

·         The third offense will result in an in-house suspension from school for defiance of the rule three times.

TARDIES:  It is very important that all students are on time and ready to work when the tardy bell rings. Students who are tardy to a class three times will be assigned two days of lunch detention by their administrator.

Students who want to participate in any extracurricular activities must have a GPA of 2.0 or above, no F's or behavior/discipline issues and positive attendance.

Please see the student planner for full detail of all other rules and policies for school below.
