Congratulations Panthers to those of you who showed up at the Break Time Respect Activities! We counted up your contributions by teams and Pride came in first place with 39 students coming out! Next was Paws with 25 students, Prowlers with 17, and 9 Predators came out to show their Respect! Be on the lookout for this month’s INTEGRITY Activities for scans at break time! Be thinking about how you show integrity at home and school!

Teachers and Students Don’t Forget our Advisory Attendance Challenge for a pizza or cinnamon roll party! Keep showing up for learning and competing for the possibility of a party!

College Week Update: Take advantage of college study abroad programs to experience a new country, culture, and activities. Study abroad programs can be very affordable, usually costing about the same as a semester at college. For most students, it may be the first time they’ve been out of the United States.

Study Abroad programs are more than just fun, they’re a great way to challenge yourself and to open new professional opportunities. Many employers are looking for graduates who have international experience. It shows you have knowledge of different work styles, an open mind, and good communication skills.

The Historically Black Colleges and Universities have been posted all month to honor Black History Month. Now test your knowledge for team spirit posts with a Kahoot made by AVID 7.

College Week update: People with college degrees have higher job satisfaction and report their work to be more satisfying and interesting. 55% of college graduates reported being “very satisfied” with their work. Only 40 percent of non-graduates reported the same.

Happy College Week!! We are continuing college week with more info: With more education comes the potential for a better job, a better salary, and better health benefits. Studies show that college-educated people are more likely to see a doctor regularly, are less likely to smoke, have a lower body mass index, and eat a healthier diet. An additional year of college decreases mortality rates by 15 to 19 percent, by reducing deaths from cancer and heart disease.
