The spring dance is tonight! Please remember to arrive by 5:15. If you are arriving later, you need to be accompanied by an adult. You need to be picked up promptly at 7pm! Congrats on finishing your third quarter panthers!

Hey panthers! The PRIDE Scan totals for February have been calculated! Predators earned 792 scans-that means the average student on their team earned 7 scans getting Predators the 1st place award of 50 spirit points. PRIDE earned 633 scans, an average of 6 scans per student-getting Pride the 2nd place award of 40 spirit points. Prowlers earned 624 scans- an average of 5 scans per student-getting Prowlers the 3rd place award of 30 spirit points. Paws earned 408 scans-an average of 3 scans per student-getting Paws the 4th place award of 20 spirit points. Keep up the good work panthers and continue showing PRIDE in the classroom to earn scans from your teachers!

Congrats to both the 7th and 8th grade boys volleyball teams for their win against St. Pats. yesterday. There will be 2 home Volleyball games next week on Wednesday and Thursday. Hope to see you there!

Here is your last college tid bit: Don’t be afraid to take classes that will improve your skills and make you more confident. Every class you take does not have to apply to your major. If you are a communications major, but computer science has always interested you, take a computer class. Overcome your fear of public speaking by taking a theater or speech class. Become a better writer by taking a writing class. The idea of college is to grow personally and professionally. Also, take classes that are just fun. You could even take a horseback riding class!

College Week update: Take advantage of college study abroad programs to experience a new country, culture, and activities. Study abroad programs can be very affordable, usually costing about the same as a semester at college. For most students, it may be the first time they’ve been out of the United States. Study Abroad programs are more than just fun, they’re a great way to challenge yourself and to open new professional opportunities. Many employers are looking for graduates who have international experience. It shows you have knowledge of different work styles, an open mind, and good communication skills.

College Week update: People with college degrees have higher job satisfaction and report their work to be more satisfying and interesting. 55% of college graduates reported being “very satisfied” with their work. Happy College Week!! Don’t forget this week to dress in any college gear you have. Each morning we will share a bit about college and its benefits. College graduates have more earning potential on average than people who only have a high school diploma. Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that in 2018, people with a college degree made around $500 a week more. That could mean non-college grads are missing out on $1 million in earnings, over a lifetime.

Congratulations 8th Grade Boys Volleyball Team who took 1st Place in the Opening Season Volleyball Tournament on Friday night! Not only did they win the Championship, they went undefeated 10-0. Please give a big shout out to these boys when you see them today!

There is a home Boys Volleyball Game today Vs. Laguna. 8th grade plays at 3:15 and 7th grade plays at 4:15. Hope to see you there!
