Attention 8th Graders! Pay attention because yesterday’s info on Magic Mountain has been updated: Next Wednesday, May 8th, we will start selling tickets for the 8th Grade Magic Mountain trip on May 30th. There is space for 100 students and the cost is $80, which includes transportation on a charter bus, a ticket into the park, and one meal. Students with discipline issues, poor attendance, more than one F, or below a 2.0 GPA will be put on a waitlist. Priority will be given to students who are currently in good standing. If a student has paid for a ticket and been cleared to attend, and has a discipline infraction or grades fall below a 2.0 GPA, they will be refunded their money and a student from the waitlist will get their spot.

Congratulations and thank you to all you Determined Students for coming out to show your PRIDE by doing break time activities! This Month Pride showed the most determination with 63 students coming out. Paws came in second with 45 students, Predators came in third with 33 students participating and Prowlers had 14 students participate coming in 4th place! Great turnout! Next up… May is Empathy Month, so come Out Tuesdays and Thursdays to write some notes of encouragement at break!!

Judkins, this month we celebrated two heritage months. Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month recognizes the contributions and influence of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islander Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States.

Band students who are participating in the Magic Mountain competition must stay after school for rehearsal today. Stay by the tables until Mr. Penton joins you to start setting up the MPR.

Jewish American Heritage Month recognizes Jewish contributions to American culture, history, military, science, government, and more. Please check out both of the AVID 8 created billboards this month.

Attention Students, Today is the day! At lunch we are taking donations and TAPING MR. PENTON TO THE FLAGPOLE! We still need to sell more tape to make sure he sticks! Also, if you help our sister school by donating $4, you get to throw a water balloon at our principal. Remember, all donations are going to Tung Mai elementary in Vietnam.

Boys Volleyball champions will have a pizza party tomorrow at lunch.

No track practice today due to the minimum day. We will have practice on Thursday and Friday to make up for the cancelled practices. Reminder, track is for anyone and it is not too late to join. Please talk to any of the coaches if you have any questions.

Panthers, we’ve raised almost $600 for our sister school! Still interested in donating? Provide Mr. Hubbell $4 for a water balloon or $1 for tape to participate in our Friday activity; TAPING MR. PENTON TO THE FLAGPOLE and throwing your ‘donations’ at Mr. Penton. You can always donate more if you are feeling generous. Remember, this is all in good fun to raise money for our sister school Tung Mai Elementary in VIetnam.

Hey panthers! The PRIDE Scan totals for MARCH have been calculated!
Prowlers earned 808 scans - that means the average student on their team earned 7 scans getting Prowlers the 1st place award of 50 spirit points.
Predators earned 637 scans - an average of 6 scans per student-getting Predators the 2nd place award of 40 spirit points.
Paws earned 607 scans - an average of 5scans per student-getting Paws the 3rd place award of 30 spirit points.
Pride earned 499 scans - an average of 4 scans per student-getting Pride the 4th place award of 20 spirit points.
Keep up the good work panthers and continue showing PRIDE in the classroom to earn scans from your teachers!

Good morning Judkins! This is the McKenzie and Blake you the morning bulletin and announcements.

Spirit Point alert! Come down to the lower blacktop this Friday at lunch for the Potato Sweep. First participant from each spirit team will compete to sweep a potato across the basketball court. Spirit points will be awarded just like a rally!

Hey, everyone! It’s WATER WEEK! This is your chance to HELP OTHERS, and FEEL AWESOME! Right now we have a sister school in Vietnam that needs our help. They don’t have clean drinking water at their school. Luckily, you can give this incredibly important gift! An easy way you can help is committing this week to being as generous as possible. Instead of buying Starbucks or prime energy drinks, just drink water and donate that money you would have spent to help our sister school in Vietnam! Donations can go to Mrs. Pierce in Rm. 20 or Mr. Hubbell in Rm. 8. We’ll keep track and show you how we are doing toward our goal of $2500 to get this Gravity Water system in place to provide a permanent source of clean drinking water to kids just like you in Vietnam! GO WATER WEEK!
