Good morning Panthers!!
Math and Language peer tutoring is canceled this week.
Today is the first day of CAASPP testing and we know you’re all going to do your best! Today you will have even block day 2nd, 4th and 6th periods. Each day this week, advisory teachers will be checking Chromebooks at the beginning of the day and awarding scans for full batteries. Remember to show respect across campus today and stay quiet as you pass tests in progress.
Leadership is hosting a Swap Meet this Friday at lunch! This week leadership will be taking any items that could just be laying around your house to use at the Swap Meet! You can bring your items to the leadership cart located at the pickoff/ drop off or the front office. Students can participate for 1 dollar in the gym at lunch on friday!
The dance is back on, and it will be at night from 5-7 this Friday. Get your tickets today at lunch or break!
Attention all track and field athletes. It is our last week of practice and we have meets on Wednesday and Saturday this week. Make sure you are coming to practice so we can continue getting on the podium!
Joy Club meeting today at lunch in room 22! Our first ever Blood Drive is in 9 DAYS! Teachers, family and friends can all sign up now using the donation portal. Today is a different type of schedule: Late Start Monday AND an Assembly! Break will be after third as usual, but lunch will be after 6th period. Then you will go to 7th period before ending the day with an Assembly! We are going to have some fun before we start State Testing tomorrow! The assembly will include performances by some of our talented Judkins students, along with team games for points!

Common Ground Club Meeting TODAY at Lunch in room 15. Join us to discuss current events that matter to YOU!

This next week Leadership is starting a school wide Swap Meet Fundraiser. Students will be able to participate in the Swap Meet on May 19 at lunch. All proceeds are going to the school. We need donations of any items that students could find of value, or anything you don’t need laying around your house. Parents can drop off items any time during school hours in the leadership shopping cart which will be located in the drop off/ pick up spot. Students and parents can also drop off items at the front office. We will be accepting any items from May 15 to the morning of May 19. Any item would be greatly appreciated!

Great news! The dance is back on and is going to be held at night from 5-7 next Friday, May 19th. It’s going to be really fun! We will be selling tickets all week next week. If you bought a ticket already, you do not need to buy another.

Today, all 8th graders will be visiting AGHS for a tour. You will be excused from your 2nd period class and buses will depart from the lower parking lot. 8th grade Panthers: you need to leave your backpack in your second period class: do not bring your backpack on the bus or on the tour. Be sure to use the restroom after advisory or before you get on the bus!

This month AVID 8 is bring you their last mini bios for the school year, and this month we celebrate two cultures:

Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month recognizes the contributions and influence of Asian Americans and Pacific Islander Americans have and are making to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States.

Jewish American Heritage Month is an annual recognition and celebration of American Jews’ achievements and contributions to the United States of America during the month of May.

This is the last day to buy dance tickets!! They will be sold at lunch today by the office. If we haven’t sold 100 tickets by the end of lunch then the dance will be canceled.

To all the eighth graders, we will be going on our trip to Magic Mountain on June 1st! Tickets will be 80 dollars and 100 tickets will be for sale. Permission slips will be available AT THE BACK WINDOW of the office at break and lunch! To get a permission slip, you have to be in good standing with your grades, your behavior, and your attendance. Once your permission slip is turned in with your payment, your spot will be reserved. Please submit payments to the BACK WINDOW as well. However, keep in mind that even if you get a ticket, it can be revoked for issues with grades, behavior, or attendance (this includes tardies).
