This month AVID 8 is bring you their last mini bios for the school year, and this month we celebrate two cultures:

Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month recognizes the contributions and influence of Asian Americans and Pacific Islander Americans have and are making to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States.

Jewish American Heritage Month is an annual recognition and celebration of American Jews’ achievements and contributions to the United States of America during the month of May.

Please read the mini biographies to learn more about the contributions of some amazing people!

This is the last day to buy dance tickets!! They will be sold at lunch today by the office. If we haven’t sold 100 tickets by the end of lunch then the dance will be canceled.

To all the eighth graders, we will be going on our trip to Magic Mountain on June 1st! Tickets will be 80 dollars and 100 tickets will be for sale. Permission slips will be available AT THE BACK WINDOW of the office at break and lunch! To get a permission slip, you have to be in good standing with your grades, your behavior, and your attendance. Once your permission slip is turned in with your payment, your spot will be reserved. Please submit payments to the BACK WINDOW as well. However, keep in mind that even if you get a ticket, it can be revoked for issues with grades, behavior, or attendance (this includes tardies).

Joy Club meeting today at lunch to discuss Judkins’ first ever Blood Drive🩸 on May 25! Come and hear about this life giving event, share some cookies, and spread the word so we can help more people! Most people in need of blood are dealing with cancer, and this is our best way to show WE CARE! Bring a friend or make some new friends designing posters to encourage all adults who are able to donate. See you at lunch in Rm 22!

FNL is hosting a free leadership summit for all SLO county middle school students in Atascadero on Saturday, May 6th from 10AM-2PM. Transportation is available for students who need a ride over to North county. To sign up, request transportation and more information, go to SLOFNL.com. If you have any questions, you can also talk to Mrs. Enciso in room 12. The deadline for registration is next Monday, May 1st.

"Make way, here he comes, ring bells, bang the drums! Are you gonna love this guy! Judkins Middle School 7th and 8th grade Drama present: Disney's Aladdin Jr.! Please come out and see the show! Show dates and times are Friday, April 28 at 7 pm, Saturday, April 29 at 7pm, and Sunday, April 30 at 2pm. The performances will take place in Judkins MPR. Tickets are $5 for students, $7 for staff and teachers, and $10 for the public. They can be purchased at the door, or online. There is a website link and a QR code on posters around campus. There is also a QR code on the school website. Judkins Drama is excited to see you there!"
