Good morning Panthers!

Thank you all for voting on Friday in last week's Student Government Elections! The results are in: your President is Audrey Heisdorf, your Vice-President is Gabi Massey, your Treasurer is Melanie Garcia, and your Secretary is London Moses! Thank you to all who ran.

Reminder, there is NO SCHOOL on Thursday, November 11.

Mr.Mike check in- The trash was okay except for the field. If you eat on the field during lunch or break, make sure to pick up your trash.

Don’t forget, there is a basketball game today at Mesa. 7th starts at 3:15 and 8th starts at 4:15. Try to show your school spirit by going to the game.

This year Judkins leadership students will be accepting food donations to support 5 Judkins families for the Thanksgiving Holiday. There is a list of food items in each classroom that we will be accepting. The team that brings the most items at the end of next week will win spirit points. Which team will bring the most canned food and earn the winning points?? Simply bring in an item from the list and put it in your advisory box. Those items will be collected by leadership and counted. Drive ends on Nov. 12th.

Joy Club meets today and every Tuesday to share smiles and positive outlooks, uplifting ourselves and others. Come sign up to pass out candy canes in the Grover Beach Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 4th. Bring your lunch and friends, and we’ll see you at Lunch today in Mrs. Pierce’s Rm. 22! Thanks!

Any student signed up for peer tutoring in math or language, we are still hosting both this week on Wednesday during advisory. Please report to the library for check in after the first bell rings!

Just a heads up, the student store will be open at lunch this Friday! Come pick up some sweet gear with those scans!

If you weren’t able to make the basketball game yesterday or on Tuesday, you have two more chances this week! There is a basketball game today and Saturday so try to support your basketball players this week.

Remember the school store will be open today during lunch so make sure to have your student id with you so you can get something with your scans!

Mr.Mike check in- our trash is pretty bad on the grass and in the solar panel area. Make sure you are throwing away your trash so our staff doesn’t have to throw it away for you. We can do better Panthers!

The cross country season is now over. The team did an awesome job in their last race at Laguna. If you see a cross country runner on campus give them some props! Thank you for supporting all of our runners!

Thank you all for participating in the costume contest on Friday! There were some really great costumes put together. In 1st place was Xenia Kyer as a Mermaid Skeleton, in 2nd was Makenzie Lewis as a Cavewoman, and in 3rd was Sierra Plasket as a Gatorade bottle. Please come down to room 16 to collect your rewards!

Unfortunately both our basketball teams lost yesterday, but they didn’t go down without a fight!

Our cross country runners have their last meet tomorrow @ Laguna. Girls start at 9:00 and boys start at 9:30.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the “Guess the Candycorn” fundraiser for Judkins! There were 1,025 Candy Corn in the jar. The winner of the contest is Julian Mills with a guess of 1027. Julian, come pick up your jar of Candy Corn and get 25 scans in room 12 today!

On Friday make sure to dress up in your Halloween costume! Even if you aren’t in the costume contest you can still help your team win spirit points! If you want to enter the costume contest it is 2 dollars to join in on Friday during break. Buy your tickets at lunch under the solar panel

If you plan to dress up for Halloween, please make sure your costume is school appropriate. No masks covering your face, no weapons-please follow school dress code.

Happy Wednesday! Today the GSA club meets at lunch by Room 27. Grab your lunch and come on down! All are welcome.

“Want to support our 7th grade AVID class? If you do, make a guess of how many candy corns are in the jar during block advisory, or come out to the blacktop at lunch! Each guess costs 50 cents, and every participant will get a sticker and a Dum Dum lollipop. The winner will be announced on October 29th, and they will be given 25 scans. Help us out, panthers!”

Students, if you were absent for any portion of FastBridge testing, you can complete FastBridge during advisory. Just ask your advisory teacher for the sign-in information. You will need headphones if you’re making up FastBridge reading and you will need scratch paper if you’re making up FastBridge math.
Mr Mike check in: Notice all the seagulls on campus? Several students have been pooped on and you could be next! The seagulls are only here because of the trash you leave during break and lunch! Throw away your trash to get rid of the seagulls!
