Paws won the rally with 240 points, Pride came in second with 210, Prowlers were in 3rd place with 170 points, Predators came in last with 120 Points! Great Job Y’all!
AVID 7 and 8 is collecting your excess Halloween candy to donate to the troops overseas starting today through Friday. Advisory teachers, please have one student collect the candy for your class. Paws and Pride, drop your candy off in room 10. Prowler and Predator drop your candy off in room 12. One student from each class will drop the candy in the spirit team’s box. This is a spirit team competition.
Here are the results from the LGBTQ+ History month Kahoot: In 4th place- Predators, in 3rd place- Pride, in 2nd place- Prowlers, and in 1st place- Paws. Good job, Panthers! Your spirit points will be added to your team’s total.
Each history month 8th grade AVID posts the impressive people that we remember and recognize for their contributions to the country.
November 1st begins Native American Heritage Month. Native American Heritage Month was first recognized November 1990 when Congress issued a joint resolution authorizing President George H.W. Bush to declare the month of history. Native American Heritage Month is a time to call attention to the culture, traditions, and achievements of the nation’s original inhabitants, and their descendants.
