Good morning Panthers!

Students are not allowed to sell food or drink products at school. Failure to comply with this school rule will result in discipline and parent notification.

Do you want to join high school AVID? Pick up an application with Mrs. Peterson, or in the office. Applications are due March 15th.

Do you like candy? Are you good at guessing random numbers? Then come by the office at lunch to guess how much candy is in a jug for the chance to win the whole thing of candy! Each guess costs 1 dollar and all the proceeds raised will be going to the British Red Cross to support Ukraine.

Attention all 7th and 8th grade girls basketball team members. Go to the gym at lunch today for your pizza party.

Congrats to the 8th grade boys volleyball team for taking 3rd place in their tournament yesterday. Come support both the 7th and 8th grade teams next Tuesday for our first home game against Mission. Games start at 3:00pm.

March begins Women’s History Month, which is a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture and society and has been observed annually in the month of March in the United States since 1987. Did you know that when the 8th Grade AVID class posts our mini bios that the colors mean something too? The purple, green and white posted this month are the colors of the suffrage movement.

Congrats to a job well done to our County Honor Band members: Bodie Holt, Abigail Jijon, and Paige Murphy. These three performed on stage at the Performing Arts Center at Cal Poly last night with the rest of the county’s top performers. Amazing job!

Valentine's day is February 14th next Tuesday, and it’s a Spirit Day. Wear red and pink to show school spirit and get points for your team.

Hey panthers! The PRIDE Scan totals for January have been calculated!
Predators earned 708 scans-that means the average student on their team earned almost six scans getting Predators the 1st place award of 50 spirit points.
Paws earned 387 scans- an average of four scans per student-getting Paws the 2nd place award of 40 spirit points.
Pride earned 306 scans- an average of about three scans per student-getting Pride the 3rd place award of 30 spirit points.
Prowlers earned 293 scans-an average of about two scans per student-getting Prowlers the 4th place award of 20 spirit points.
Keep up the good work panthers and continue showing PRIDE in the classroom to earn scans from your teachers!
