Students, your electives are YEAR LONG courses. You may not ask for a schedule change from this point forward.
Hopefully you paid attention to the recycling presentation in Advisory yesterday. And remember: you can ONLY RECYCLE the items that are shown and all items must be clean! A team will not be counted for spirit points if they do not follow these simple rules.

We will have no peer tutoring today. Today is a minimum day and we are dismissed at 11:25.

Attention all volleyball girls. Your appreciation is this Friday at the office during lunch by leadership! Thank you so much for paracting on our Panther team!

Today there is a 7th grade girls volleyball championship. Go cheer on our 7th grade volleyball girls! And, at the end of the week, there will be an appreciation day for them. Look out for that.

Tomorrow is the 8th grade girls Volleyball championships. Come cheer on our girls!!

There were over seventy 7th graders last year who saved over 100 PRIDE scans for positive behavior! Those students will be receiving a certificate for free personal pizza at “Me n’ Ed’s” pizza shop in Pismo! Certificates will be passed out during 7th period today!

Great job dressing up for Neon Day last week! Pride had the most participation and earned 50 spirit points. 2nd place went to Prowlers for 40 spirit points. 3rd place went to Predators for 30 spirit points. And 4th place went to Paws for 20 spirit points.

The Second Quarter starts today. Every teacher will put out fresh bathroom passes; you get three per class (besides Advisory and PE). This week you will get a raffle ticket for every pass you didn’t use the first quarter! Remember to use the bathroom at break, lunch, and PE and SAVE THOSE PASSES! The Spirit Team with the most passes leftover gets the most spirit points!

Next week will be a Spirit Week with each day being a different dress up day! The specific days will be announced in advisory this week.

You may have already noticed the displays in the hall this year; these are created by our amazing 8th Grade AVID students working each month to bring cultural awareness to campus. This school year they are highlighting diversity within different fields of interest: academics, sports, media, and the arts. Thank you AVID 8!

October is LGBTQ+ History Month which celebrates the history of the diverse lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community and the importance of civil rights movements in progressing gay rights. The observance was created by Rodney Wilson, a history teacher at a Missouri high school, in 1994. The following year, LGBTQ+ History Month was added to the list of commemorative months in a resolution forwarded by the General Assembly of the National Education Association.

Students who volunteered to ride with veterans on 10/20, please report to the MPR now to meet with Mr. Penton, get the details of the day, and get permission slips.
